MAARA MULGREW Lic.Ac, C.Ac (China)
Maara is a registered Acupuncturist and a professional member of the Canadian Society of Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture (CSCMA). She holds a Licentiate in Traditional Chinese Acupuncture from the Acupuncture Foundation Institute of Ireland. Her post-graduate clinical training was completed at Jiangsu Provincial Hospital through the Nanjing University of TCM, China. In 2008, she established her practice in Galway city and opened the first community acupuncture clinic in Ireland.
Maara holds a B.HEc from the University of Manitoba. She has completed a Diploma in Holistic Massage (ITEC); a Diploma in Traditional Thai Massage from the Old Medicine Hospital, Chiang Mai, Thailand; a Diploma in Traditional Burmese Massage from the Mae Hong Son Medical Dispensary, Thailand; and a number of courses in Ireland, Canada, US, and the UK. Maara is a certified NADA Acupuncture Detoxification specialist trained under Dr. Michael Smith of Lincoln Hospital (Bronx, NY) and the National Acupuncture Detoxification Association of Ireland. She is a certified Mei Zen Cosmetic Acupuncture specialist trained under Dr. Martha Lucas. She has also studied Neuro-Acupuncture under the training of Dr. Jishun Hao.
Maara has experience in treating a wide range of clients and conditions. Her areas of focus include pain management, sports injuries, addictions, stress, anxiety, depression, emotional balancing, PTSD, insomnia, migraines, and digestion issues. Her treatment goals are to help clients achieve optimum health and to restore natural balance.
